Hello and welcome to The Skin & Beauty Nurse where you get informative and applicable skin and beauty information for everyday use.

By day, I’m a Public Health Nurse but outside of that I’m a skincare obsessed mom of 3 littles, a wife and all things coconut! It’s a busy life and I love it here.

My love and deep interest ignited a few years ago as I struggle with my own skin problems; chronic post inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) or severe hyperpigmentation (darkened areas on my face) Another life even fueled my skincare interest ever more; my son developed eczema. From there I decided to start researching and sharing what I was learning about the skin.

Another thing that was irritating me was medical professionals misdiagnosing my skin conditions. I needed answers and solutions to the problems I was having, so I set out to find them and here we are with version 3.0 of my skin blog.
